Surf Movie 9/26/08

Surf Movie is back! After a summer hiatus, we’re back on our monthly schedule. Friday September 26th we will be showing Thomas Campbells “The Seedling”.

Social hour starts @ 7:30 with movie to follow. Hopefully, the locals boys from Mr. Jumper’s Homebrew Club will bring some tasty beer for us to enjoy. Otherwise this is a BYOB event. Should be a good time so bring friends.

Mass Bay film Project- ongoing

Mass bay Film project has secured Gloucester Stage for another season and will be showing tons of indy films there in the month of October including Surfwise, Gonzo and Row Hard. Check them out at massbayfilmproject.org and support them!

hello from everlution crew + end of the line studios

We are having an open studio/ art sale at End of the Line next Thursday July 17th from 7-9 pm. Come up to see whats going on in the studio. Tons of new work from all 5 of the artists currently inhabiting that space. Should be a good time so bring friends.

After the open studio, lets all move down to the Madfish to see Jesse Ciarmataro (aka Qwill) play. Jesse, a regular at our events is a very talented musician.

Mike Brown, who once celebrated his 50th birthday raising money for the Special Olympics by unicycling from Manchester to Plum Island and Back!!!! is at it again. This time the cause is ocean conservation and coastal clean up.

August 9, 2008 is the 1st Annual Cape Cod Bay Challenge Event.  A small group of stand-up paddle surfers will attempt a grueling 22 mile marathon paddle across Cape Cod Bay from Plymouth to Provincetown to raise awareness and money to help stop the ever growing problem of pollution in our oceans and along our shores.  Trash in the ocean kills more than one million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals and turtles each year through ingestion and entanglement.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the Ocean Conservancy, a non-profit dedicated to promoting healthy and diverse ocean ecosystems.  Part of the proceeds of this event will go towards the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Clean Up on September 20, 2008.  The International Coastal Clean Up is a year-round volunteer effort to keep our oceans and waterways free of trash – and healthier for humans and marine life.
